Best way to add custom named range

What is the best way to add custom non Modano Named range defined in memory? Name Manager in Modano book is replaced with Modano's one and I really like using special named ranges for the formulas, like NumOfMonth, SMU [standard Monetray unit] and so on. What is the reason to restrict this functionality?

Hi Yury,

Modano supports named formulas, you just have to dig to find the command.

Firstly, you need to be in Developer Mode.

Then, if you don't have the Tools tab visible, you can access the Named Formula tool via the Build tab, Tools menu, Names submenu, Named Formula, as shown below:

It's one level higher if you have the Tools tab visible:

The named formula works like any other formula, and its name is stored in its parent module like any other range name.

Let me know if this wasn't what you were after.

M.

Thanks heaps, Michael! I thought it might be there somewhere :)
